Great location, helpful staff; room was clean, small but adequate, though view out the small, cloudy window was of brick walls. Lots of places for a quick bite just down the block. My biggest disappointment was no coffee maker in the room, which just seems like Hospitality 101 to me. Still, a good alternative to pricier alternatives in the area. I'd recommend.
Upon checking in.. the total amount was incorrect by $300 additional dollars. The rooms are very small barely two people can fit. The next morning at 7:30 am they began working elevator B which was broken. The men sounded as if they were directly in my room the bang and grinding. Then house keeping came at 8:30-9 way too early. Out bathroom sink was leaking, housing keeping only replace one setting vs two set of towels for two occupants. We had a tv with no cable for three days of our stay. The bed is due for a brand new mattress as my side was sunken in. I made a complaint everyday. We spoke to Hector the supervisor the night before check thinking he heard us and address the stay. Hector adjusted the final
Bill by $120/1500. The only great thing about This hotel has great location ONLY for Manhattan shopping. Time square etc.
Hotel location is fantastic, and staff was friendly and attentive. The room itself was clean but very dated and a strange layout (1bd suite). The pillows and bed were basically unusable. My GF and I could barely sleep due to back pain from the horrendous mattress. Also, a suite, priced higher than a king room, came with a full sized mattress. Yikes. Knowing this hotel is typically quite cheap, it felt almost criminal with the close to December upcharge.
Stayed here at the Shoreham hotel 4 days..room is small but big enough for 2 people . You in the city sightseeing so really no need to be in the room long anyways but to shower and sleep..great staff at the desk bell hoppers took care of out luggage both on arrival and departure ..cleaning crew were very nice in giving us extra towels and rags..room was clean everyday we got back from touring the city..highly recommend this hotel as to being convient and walkavle to the Rockefeller Center central park 5th ave and a short walk to the subway to get to times sqaure broadway is about a 14 minute walk..will stay her again when i retirn
This had to be my worst hotel experience in nyc the hotel was dirty disgusting looking the room although spacious had a tiny closet and bath the headboard of the bed was covered with stains.there was only one elevator for very heavy traffic there was no restaurant in the property but they had an affiliation with a restaurant that is next to it but they had no breakfast the staff was not courteous and they all acted as of they did not want to be there and finally my key was deactivated 11 times during the 3 day stay and although i kept bringing the issue with management nothing was done
This place was over $700/night & I understand that the location is good, but WHAT A DUMP! No wifi, dirty carpet, nasty shower. Just awful for the price. I wish I could upload photos, because, wow. What a disappointment. Oh. Did I mention super loud HVAC? Yep. Do yourself a favor and save your $$ by sleeping on the street. At lease there’s fresh air there.
